Abstract
Census operations are complex, requiring seamless coordination across diverse data sources and teams. By placing location at the core, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform this process—boosting efficiency and unlocking deeper insights. This presentation will demonstrate how ArcGIS enables the creation of balanced enumeration areas, optimizes routes and work assignments, and provides real-time monitoring and management of field activities. We’ll explore how these capabilities accelerate the journey from data collection to analysis, reducing delays and improving decision-making. Additionally, we’ll highlight how AI enhances GIS workflows by generating smarter surveys, detecting patterns, and catching errors early to ensure accuracy. Together, GIS and AI deliver a powerful framework for modernizing census operations and driving data-driven strategies.
