The ISI WSC2027 Short Courses Committee is responsible for developing the Short Courses Programme for the ISI World Statistics Congress 2027. The programme supports the mission of the International Statistical Institute to promote statistical education, capacity development and the exchange of knowledge across the global statistical community.
The Committee reviews proposals submitted through the Call for Proposals and recommends a balanced, high-quality programme that reflects developments in statistics, data science, and their applications. The final programme is approved by the ISI Executive Committee and organised by the ISI Permanent Office.
The ISI Short Courses are held immediately before the World Statistics Congress and provide participants with opportunities to learn from leading experts through intensive one- and two-day courses. The programme is designed for statisticians, data scientists, researchers and practitioners seeking to develop new skills and deepen their expertise.
Courses are delivered in English and cover a broad range of topics across statistical theory, methodology, official statistics, machine learning, data science and applied statistics.
The Call for Proposals invites instructors from around the world to submit course proposals for the WSC2027 Short Courses Programme. Proposals are evaluated by the Short Courses Committee based on their quality, relevance, timeliness, and expected interest to Congress participants.
Information on the Call for Proposals, eligibility, selection criteria and submission deadlines will be published here when available.
