IPUMS is a set of data collections housed at the University of Minnesota in the United States.  The IPUMS International database provides harmonized population & housing census and survey microdata from over 100 countries—integrated across time and space! The user-friendly database makes it easy to study change, conduct comparative research, merge information across data types, and analyze individuals within family and community contexts. Data are available free of charge to registered users. Other global-facing IPUMS project databases include IPUMS Time Use, IPUMS DHS, IPUMS MICS, and IPUMS PMA and IPUMS IHGIS (data tables from population and agricultural censuses).

Join us for this hands-on presentation that will provide an overview of the data collections and a website demonstration— from accessing the data and downloading extracts to using it for research.
All are welcome; no registration required!
