This session invites participants to explore how such a media initiative can help shape the future of statistics — among others - in the realms of governance, communication, methodology and citizen engagement.

This session will examine how vISIon can serve as a bridge between global statistical standards (such as the UN Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics) and local statistical practice within national and sub-national statistical offices. Topics will include: The role of professional magazines and knowledge platforms in disseminating innovative methodology and governance practices; How communication and narrative-building support trust in statistics,

Reflections from contributors and editors of vISIon on how to make statistical content accessible, relevant and authoritative. By placing vISIon at the centre, this session will encourage participants to re-imagine how statistical systems communicate, network and evolve in an era of digital transformation, data, and multiple governance levels. This aligns with the ISI Malta 2026 theme of innovation, collaboration and the evolving role of statistical institutions.
