Proposal Description
I have been working with about 100 researchers in over 30 African countries (including Zambia) for several years now. This has lead to over 200 journal publications coving a wide domain of theory and applications. Some of the publications have led to real policy changes in parts of Africa.
The session I propose will bring together statisticians / researchers in Zambia working on important problems affecting their country. The topics will range from the use of distribution of theory to machine learning. The applications will involve modeling of hospital data and modeling of contaminations of the copper belt area in Zambia.
