    Proposal Description

The future of official statistics will rely on alternative data sources that can be combined and integrated to enhance and improve our data eco-systems for the production of official statistics. Alternative data sources can include administrative data, new forms of data such as scanner data and nonprobability samples. These new forms of data require high quality probability-based samples to correct for selection biases and measurement errors.
The three papers all show examples of integrating datasets to obtain better quality and more efficient estimates that would be obtained from survey data alone
