As National Statistical Institutes increasingly rely on administrative records, big data, and volunteer-based sources, the ability to integrate non-probability samples with traditional surveys has become a critical skill helping you produce high-quality, reliable official statistics in today’s complex data landscape.
This short course offers a modern, practical framework for combining design-based and model-based perspectives for integrating probability and non-probability samples, covering key methods such as propensity-score adjustment, calibration, doubly robust estimation, and design-oriented integration strategies.
1. A clear and coherent framework bridging design-based and model-based approaches
2. Practical understanding of key methods, including:
Concepts are presented in a concise, accessible (non-technical) manner and illustrated with applied examples from the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania), including census data integration, tourism statistics, and business statistics, allowing you to see how modern integration methods operate in real production environments—not just in theory.
This training course is delivered by State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania).
